Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about using StoxSwap
Getting Started
How does StoxSwap work? ▾
StoxSwap is a manual cross-chain exchange. You select the coins you want to swap, enter your destination wallet address, and send your funds to our deposit address. We then manually process the swap and send the output cryptocurrency directly to your wallet. No accounts, no KYC, no middlemen.
Do I need to create an account? ▾
No. You never need to create an account, verify your identity, or provide any personal information. Simply enter your wallet addresses and send your crypto. That's it.
Which coins can I swap? ▾
We currently support: BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ethereum), TRX (TRON), USDT-ERC20 (Tether on Ethereum), and USDT-TRC20 (Tether on TRON). You can swap between any combination of these five assets.
Fees & Rates
What are the fees? ▾
StoxSwap charges a flat 0.5% fee on all swaps. This is deducted from your input amount before conversion. There are no hidden fees. Network transaction fees for delivering funds to your wallet are included in this rate.
How are exchange rates calculated? ▾
We use live market prices from CoinGecko's public API, refreshed every 30 seconds. The rate you see on the swap form is the rate we use to calculate your output. Rates are locked when your deposit is confirmed on-chain — if you send after significant price movement, we'll use the rate at confirmation time.
Is there a minimum or maximum swap amount? ▾
Minimum: $20 USD equivalent. Smaller swaps aren't economical due to network fees. Maximum: Currently $50,000 USD equivalent per swap. Contact us for larger OTC trades.
Process & Timing
How long does a swap take? ▾
Processing time depends on the source blockchain: BTC swaps typically take 30–60 min (waiting for 2 confirmations), ETH/USDT-ERC20 takes 10–20 min, TRX/USDT-TRC20 takes 5–15 min. Once we receive your confirmed deposit, we process and send your output within 30 minutes during business hours.
What happens if I send the wrong amount? ▾
If you send a different amount than quoted, we'll process your swap at the actual received amount (minus our fee). If you send an amount below our minimum, we'll refund it to your refund address minus network fees. Always send the exact amount shown for the best experience.
What is a refund address and why do I need it? ▾
Your refund address is the wallet you're sending from. If your swap cannot be completed for any reason (price moved too much, technical issue, etc.), we return your funds to this address minus network fees. Do not use an exchange address as your refund address — use a personal wallet you control.
Safety & Privacy
Is StoxSwap safe to use? ▾
We are a manual exchange service. Risks to be aware of: You are trusting us to process your swap honestly — we are not a smart contract with enforced logic. We recommend starting with a small test swap. We store order details locally in your browser and never ask for private keys or seed phrases. We will never contact you asking to "verify" anything.
Do you collect my personal data? ▾
We collect only the wallet addresses you enter. We do not track IPs beyond standard server logs, do not require email, and do not share data with third parties. Order details are stored in your local browser storage — we do not maintain a central database of customers.
How do I contact support? ▾
Email us at support@stoxswap.com with your Order ID (shown in the swap modal, starts with SX-). Include your deposit transaction hash for fastest resolution. We typically respond within 4–8 hours.
